In November, Get Physical celebrates its 100th release, which will pit some of its best artists in what the tech-house label calls Battle Tracks (the same track produced or remixed by two different artists). Some of the artists are M.A.N.D.Y., DJ T, Booka Shade, and other international artists such as Italoboyz or Nôze.
On January 26, the album Decent Work for Decent Pay: Collected Works: Volume One will be released. It is an album that compiles the best Diplo's remixes (the "most respectable ones," he said.) In 2005, when James Ellis Ford and James Anthony Shaw decided to leave Simian —the English indie rock band they had been members since the late 90's, — they left behind not only a couple of friends but also an aesthetic. When they named the duo Simian Mobile Disco, they were already a team of first-rate DJs, producers and remixers.
The unmistakable voice of Björk, plus the voice of Antony Hegarty, dazzle us with 'Dull Flame of Desire' —the most recent single included in Volta— and take a new direction thanks to the German duo Modeselektor.
