For a restless artist such as Matthew Dear (he produces micro house and experimental electro pop under his name and techno under monikers like Audion, among others), making a compilation album is another way of expressing his constant aesthetic research. So, for the 7th volume of the Body Language series released on the German label Get Physical, the American DJ went over his hard disc files and made a CD mix that completely reflects his personality.
For the third time, Satoshi Tomiie is the main character in one of the compilation albums released by the British label Renaissance. The DJ and producer signed the new volume of the well-known series The Masters Series (in which Hernán Cattáneo also participated) to be released the next weeks.
Apart from being the musical curator of his own radio show HipHopMix (broadcasted on Kosiuko Radio) and resident DJ at several Buenos Aires clubs, DJ Stuart also recommends artists. In this new Flowmi's Top 5, he picks the new urban music talents.
His tracks are heard on every dancefloor, he is the best selling artist of Beatport (300 thousand downloads of "Not Exactly" and "Faxing Berlin"), received several awards and is one of the figures of 2008. However, Deadmau5, Canadian producer Joel Zimmerman's pseudonym, wouldn't feel complete without his Mau5head: the mouse head he wears at his performances. Check out the making of the Mau5head.
To make such eclectic and funny sets as the one he made some weeks ago at Batonga! (a weekly night organized by Zuker, Rama and Fabián Dellamónica), Paul Beller, better known as Ben Mono, is all the time looking for new productions. As a result of his search, he discovered new talented artist he presents exclusively for Flowmi in this Top 5.

If Choice: A Collection Of Classics --the last CD mix released by Danny Tenaglia -- was a compilation in which he acknowledged and paid homage to all persons that influence him, Futurism (recently released on Tommy Boy Records) sums up the New York DJ's present: without abandoning tribal sounds and the humanized techno Tenaglia generally plays in his long sets, his weekly residency at the Ibiza's club Space helped him to renew his sound and use a not-so-euphoric line that flirts with minimal house and tech.
Desyn Masiello, Demi and Omid 16B started to work together as SexOnSubstance (SOS) in 2004, and their best letter of introduction to clubber's world was their participation in the BBC1 radio show Essentiall Mix, where they played a set that ranked among the best sets of 2006. After two years, hundreds of shows all around the world and prior to their show at Moonpark Buenos Aires (August 9), the trio takes control of Balance Series vol. 13, in which they relaunch several tracks to finally obtain a 100% original compilation.
