The Prodigy announced that on March 2 they will release Invaders Must Die, their new album that counts with the collaboration of drummer Dave Grohl (ex Nirvana, Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age) and James Rushent (Does It Offend You, Yeah?). "A collision of old skool rave noise with the stratospheric limits of new technology," they stated.
A week before the release of 808s & Heartbreak, the awaited Kanye West's new album, there appears Sky High (We Got the Remix), a collection of his greatest tracks remixed by A-Trak, Scottie B, Kenny Dope, Eli Escobar, Diplo and The Kickdrums, among others. In November, Get Physical celebrates its 100th release, which will pit some of its best artists in what the tech-house label calls Battle Tracks (the same track produced or remixed by two different artists). Some of the artists are M.A.N.D.Y., DJ T, Booka Shade, and other international artists such as Italoboyz or Nôze.
"11 y 20" is out. The promotional track is included in Quema, the new album of Bicicletas. The quintet of power rock, pop melodies and psychedelia formed by Julio Cesar Crivelli (Vocals and Guitar), Federico Wiske (Guitar), Agustin Pardo (Bass), Ignacio Valdez (Synthesizers and Guitar) and Mariano Repeto (Drums) will be in Buenos Aires to play at the biggest festivals. Before releasing their new album, Dave 1 and P-Thugg, the Canadian artists from
Chromeo, designed a T-shirt in collaboration with the sophisticated French fashion house Surface to Air, the same firm that already has the duo Justice
among its designers. Their design consists in a limited edition T-shirt featuring the cover art of
Fancy Footwork (2007), their previous album. However, it is just
the beginning of an entire new collection.
Last Friday, during his show on the BBC Radio 1, Pete Tong presented the world premiere "Mind Dimension," the first track from Tiga's new material. The track will be included in his next album, on which people is speculating titles, such as Mindimension/The Future. During the mid 90's, Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary were already playing at Berlin's underground clubs. But they decided to name the duo Modeselektor when they first played with a Roland RE-201 from which they managed to take analogical sounds out. However, their electronic magnetism —among grim, IDM and English garage — only gained international recognition when Ellen Allien recruited them to join her label Bpitch Control.
