Using communication tools and developing daily products from their origin, design seems to be one of the first disciplines to be related to the new green trend. And that is the goal of Sustentable, the first Argentine design festival with environmental awareness, to be held from November 28 to December 2, 2008, at the Jardín Botánico of Buenos Aires.

3966 designers from 91 different countries participated in Green Earth, a graphic design contest that combines creativity and green conscience. Exploring remix nature as a recycling metaphor, the Danger Global Warming Project is trying to raise awareness of the dangers of global warming through a unique track featuring the vocals of former Stranglers singer Hugh Cornwall. The track, which recreates all styles, will be included in an album that counts with the participation of Goldfrapp, Roger Sánchez, Afrika Bambaataa, and Lee "Scratch" Perry, and that will be released by Stealth Records.
